The five thrift stores operated by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Dane County are the perfect way to stretch your budget in this difficult time. Shopping is not only good for your budget but your purchases are good for the planet and you also support our many local efforts to help our neighbors in need. Free home pickups are available. If you need to find some room in your closets call St. Vincent's at 278-2920 for a free home pickup of items you would like to donate to their Thrift Stores. They can usually schedule a pickup for the same week you call. Their Food Pantry continues to meet an ever-growing need. In the past 12 months they provided food valued at over $1.3 million. You can help the Pantry by organizing a food drive where you work or worship or contact St. Vincent's to volunteer. |
