www.veronapubliclibrary.org A two-story view of Badger Prairie County Park greets visitors of the Verona Public Library located at 500 Silent Street. But the stunning views and abundance of natural light in the 31,000-square-foot building aren't the only niceties. Wireless internet access, a stone fireplace in the quiet reading room, and a children's reading castle help make the library a destination for residents and visitors alike. The proximity to the Badger Prairie Park, MAYSA Soccer Complex, Ice Age National Scenic Trail and downtown make for a convenient location.
The library offers many free programs and amenities for all ages, including monthly book discussions for adults, guest lectures, author visits and activity programs for adults; baby, toddler and pre-school story times; teen events and activities and programs for parents and families. The summer library program has turned into a premier community event each summer. Prizes aplenty and free weekly shows await kids and adults of all ages who participate in the 2011 Summer Library Program, June 13 to July 30.
The library's meeting and study rooms are available to the public by reservation. With a library card, visitors have access to the computer lab, a variety of databases and may borrow and return materials at any of the 65-member libraries within the South Central Library System. Used books, CDS and videos are for sale at bargain prices from the Friends of the Verona Public Library. ![]() |
